Thank you for your interest in FriendshipWorks. FriendshipWorks is at the forefront of alleviating social isolation and making connections. We love to share information and resources in the hope that it will help others to learn, think, and do something to reduce elder isolation. Our compassionate model provides a great start and is backed by more than three decades of experience. Come in and take a look around!
Since 1984, our Boston-based nonprofit organization has been connecting older adults with volunteers of all backgrounds for friendship and assistance. This free service is for older adults age 60+ (55+ with low vision and hearing).
From music and pets to meaningful visits between older adults and their volunteer matches, volunteer assistance with tasks or errands to medical escorts for medical appointments, and low vision and LGBTQ+ initiatives, FriendshipWorks provides a range of services, programs, and resources for older adults to help to connect, reduce isolation, and build community.
In this newsroom, we offer a range of information that includes a photo & video gallery, suggested topics on which FriendshipWorks can speak or provide resources, a Media Kit, and links to FriendshipWorks’ media coverage.
We would love to work with you; please contact Marketing & Communications, Laura Willis at: lwillis@fw4elders.org to get started. After all, our mission is to connect!
